Matt Cutts of Google recently took to Twitter to announce that they have released a 4.0 version of the Google Panda algorithm. The Panda algorithm that was initially released in February, 2011 was designed to prevent low-quality and substandard quality from seeping into Google’ top search results.
So though over the course of three years the Panda Algorithm has constantly been updated, the Panda 4.0 has been one of the most major update in the recent time by Google. This update changes the manner in which the algorithm identifies websites in the organic search and it also seems that with this update, Google will be gentler with some sites, especially those that belong to small business.
Though marketers may now want to re-look their website for bad quality content, overused keywords, stray links or any other damaging elements, Google says that such algorithm changes does not affect good quality website. So, the best way to ensure that your website is not affected by Google Algorithm updates is to ensure that only high-quality, genuine and content related to your products and services are published on your website.
